So I thought I'd do a little review for you!

First we have the ELF flat topped Powder Brush. This is a second of these brushes I've purchased, and my previous one lasted a while before it met it's demise. (Wet paint) This brush is advertised as a powder brush, but I actually love this for blending in cream and liquid foundations. I generally put a bit of foundation on my face, and then use this to buff it in to the skin. It gives a great finish, and gives you a lot of control with the product. This has been my preferred foundation application technique for awhile, and definitely recommend you give it a shot.

Sorry, other brush is dirty. XD

Next we have the small stippling brush. I already have the regular size stippling brush from ELF, and while it's good for applying cream brush lightly, it's not my favorite. The regular stippling brush is very loose and sort of flimsy, so I was pleased to see that the small stippling brush is much denser. I love using this for cream highlighter, its the perfect size for on top of your cheek bones.

And finally we have ELF Studio Makeup Remover Wipes. I hadn't tried these before, but I thought for three dollars, it was worth a shot. These did not disappoint. They take off makeup effectively (including eye makeup), don't dry out the skin, and don't have an annoying scent. I don't believe in spending good money on makeup wipes, so these were a good find.

Have you guys tried any of ELF's products? Let me know in the comments below!

I'm sure you all understand how sometimes when shopping for makeup you go looking for one particular thing, and then wind up with something totally random as well? Well this happened to me the other day. I went into the MAC store to find a nice peach lipstick, because weirdly I didn't have any true peach shades. And then I saw it, a fantastic shade me eyes had never seen. Her name was Heroine; she was bright and purple, and I fell in love. I also tend to get dramatic when it comes to pretty makeup. But long story short I have two lipsticks from MAC and I though I'd do a quick review for y'all.

Let's start with Ravishing, because that was what I came for in the first place. MAC describes Ravishing as a "clean bright peachy coral". I would call it a clean bright orangey-peach. I actually specifically bought this one because it doesn't really stray into the coral family which I have tones of. It's a creamsheen formula, with is smooth, creamy, and slightly glossy on the lips. I personally find this formula a bit drying, but not enough so to be that big of a problem. I do recommend a bit of lip balm underneath however. It lasts about 2 hours on me before it needs a touch up on me, but I personally don't mind this. creamsheens just aren't the longest lasting finish from MAC.

Alright now the stowaway, Heroine. I'm in love with lipstick for a bunch of reasons, but let's start with the color. Heroine is a bright mid-tone warm purple. I really like that although it's a very warm purple, it doesn't turn pink once applied. It definitely still reads purple on the lips. It's a very bold color in the best way possible, and find that it brightens my whole face. Heroine is a supposedly a matte finish lipstick, but I'm not completely sure why. It has no shimmer sure, but the finish isn't that classic dry finish that matte lipsticks generally have. Particularly MAC matte lipsticks, which are notorious for being dry on the lips. I found this lipstick very comfortable to wear while having being very long lasting. This does stain a bit, but I doesn't bother me. This isn't a shade for the color shy, but I absolutely adore it and am super happy MAC made this permanent. (Also radiant orchid bonus points!)

What do you think, would you rock either of these shades? Let me know down below.

Today I have a for you of Lit Cosmetics. Lit Cosmetics is renowned for their glitters and 'Clearly Liquid Glitter Base'. Unfortunately until recently I haven't tried them because the shipping costs were a bit steep. Also I didn't want to commit to a large bottle of the glitter base before I tried it. Sephora stepped in as my savior, as usual. They've started to offer little kits with a full sized glitter, and a mini (0.14 oz) bottle of the glitter base. Praise the Sephora Gods! I purchased the kit with Rich and Famous glitter. It's prettttyyyyyy great.
Unfortunately, one of the (few) downsides of glitter is that it's terribly hard to photograph! So you really aren't getting the full glitter magic that is this product. But let's start by talking about the glitter itself. It's a deep gold color with a rainbow holographic reflect. It's like I've died and gone to heaven! The color is stunning and translates really well to the eyes. This glitter is in size 2, which it the line's most common size. It's not huge, but it's large enough to give a really strong glitter effect.

Alright now on the glitter base. The bottle you get in this kit is super small (and adorable) but it doesn't phase me. A little goes a long way with with stuff, and I think this'll last me quite awhile. It's a clear, thin, tacky liquid that once dry is completely undiscrenable from your eyeshadow or skin.

I apply the glitter by shaking a drop or so out of the bottle on to a palette (or whatever is available) then wetting my brush and dipping it in to the glitter. Then you sort of just smooth it over the lid, repeating when you run out of product.

I have to say I'm very impressed with this product. I've tried it with other brands of glitter as well and had the same positive result. While a small amount of fallout is nearly unavoidable, the Clearly Liquid Glitter Base really eases the application of glitter, keeps a strong hold throughout the day, and helps even the texture of the glitter.

I'm thoroughly enjoying these products. I will be buying more shades of Lit Cosmetics glitter, and will repurchase the glitter base once I run out!

$19.99 USD at Sephora stores or website.

Do you love glitter? Hey guys! How're you today? It's -20 degrees F here, which I'm not happy about but I'm staying warm inside blogging! November and December were definitely blogging fails for me, and this year I really want to start off strong even though January is a very busy month for me. I know a lot of people had these posts/ videos done before the new year but whatever, it's not too late. Anyway I chose the fourteen products that I either discovered, or really used a lot in 2013. I tried to only use currently available products for this, but a couple snuck in.

1.) Red Cherry Lashes. I discovered this brand in early fall of last year and oooohhh myyyy goodness. This brand has made me completely spoiled for other eyelash brands. Even Ardell lashes, which I've always enjoyed, now seem uncomfortable. What really really makes these special is that the band is so thin and flexible. This makes them easy to apply and comfortable to where throughout the day. Super happy I discovered these!

2.) The Burning Heart Palette from Sugarpill Cosmetics. I did a look and review of this palette here, back in March and my love for it is still going strong. It has four large pans of bright matte shadows with incredible pigmentation. I'm a huge Sugarpill fan, and hope to someday have all of their palettes. If you like bright colors, these will be a must have for you.

3.) The Urban Decay Vice 2 Palette. I adore this palette. At $59 USD this palette is a bit expensive but the shadows come to be under $3 each, so I think the price is quite reasonable. The colors are richly pigmented and come in a variety of shades and textures. And can we just talk about the packaging for a second? Because it's phenomenal! The outside is a beautiful purple watercolor with a large jeweled UD, it has an automatic open to reveal a large mirror (that stays up) and the twenty well organized eyeshadows. This is still currently available on UD's website, but its LE so hop to it if you're interested!

4.) Sebastian Professional Shaper Fierce Ultra-Firm Finishing Hairspray. I received a small bottle of this hairspray from a friend, and fell in love. I bought a full size bottle of this from Ulta soon afterward. (It's a little pricey, so wait for Ulta to have a sale on it.) This hairspray has everything: a strong firm hold that locks in your style, no 80's over sprayed look, and it smells nice. (I hate that classic hairspray smell.) But my favorite part is that this sprayed lightly over curls this gives a great touchable hold while keeping my hair's curl all day. Definitely a new HG product for me.

5.) Boot's Expert Anti-Blemish Cleansing Foam. I mentioned this in my skincare post, and still enjoy it a lot. I tend to switch up my cleansers a lot, but I used this one for almost the whole of 2013. I used this product with my Clarisonic Mia and found this very effective in keeping my acne in check. I love that it works very well, with out being harsh at all. It's very gentle on the skin, and fragrance free. So if you have sensitive acne prone skin this might be perfect! Also I used this nearly every day for a year and only went one bottle. I repurchased about a month ago, so a bottle will last you awhile!

6.) NYC Smooth Skin Bronzer in Sunny. This bronzer is fantastic, especially for the price. It's matte and the color isn't too dark so it's good for light to medium skin tones. The best part of this though is how affordable it is though, you can get it for only $2.99 USD at drugstores. This was a great find, and I've definitely used a lot! I recently hit pan.

7.) The Wet n Wild 8 pan palette in Comfort Zone. I review this awhile ago here, and it's one of my favorite palettes. It comes with 4 neutral shades and four more colorful shades. They're all very buttery and pigmented. I like all the shades, but the medium pink color (left side second down) and the light shimmery grey shade (right side first shade) are my favorites. It also should be mentioned that the last shade on the right side is very good dupe for MAC's Blue Brown pigment. This product is also a fantastic value, at only $5 USD. (That's ridiculous.)

8.) Coola Rose Essence Tinted Moisturizer. I was lucky enough to receive a bottle (tube?) of this fantastic tinted moisturizer from Coola. I really like it for a few reasons. It's very lightweight, contains spf, and best of all the sheer yellow tint is great for covering redness. Definitely wore it a ton this year, especially this summer.

9.) Sonia Kashuk Super Sheer Shimmering Highlighter. *sobs* Alright so I bought this product early this year and it quickly became one of my favorite highlighters, I wore almost everyday this summer. Fortunately I have plenty left, because it appears that this delightful product is no longer available. I despise when this happens. I don't like adding unavailable products to these lists, but this one had to be here because I love it so much.

10.) Sigma Eyeshadow Brushes. This was a great discovery! I was really excited when a Sigma store opened fairly close to me. I'd always wanted to try Sigma's brushes, but their shipping costs deterred me. When I went to their store for a meet up with Leesha from Xsparkage I got four eyeshadow brushes and am very pleased with them. Particularly the Sigma E40 Tapered Blending Brush. It's really changed the way I do my eye makeup.

11.) Lime Crime Velvetine in Suedeberry. If I had to pick my favorite lip product of this year, this would be it. It has a super unique formula that applies like a gloss, and then dries to a matte finish. It currently comes in three shades. The shade I have, Suedeberry, is a light warm red, and is quite bright. Another thing that should be mentioned is that it lasts perfectly, for a loooonnnggg time 6 hours easy. Very impressed.

12.) Lush Ro's Argan. Oh Ro's Argan, I love you so. If you've been following my blog you'll know that I'm a big lush fan in general, but I'm particularly sweet on this product. It's an in shower body conditioner that leaves your skin super smooth and conditioned, without feeling oily. But the best part is the smell. Lush does rose brilliantly, and they've really outdone themselves with this one. It has the yummiest rose/lemon/spice scent that lingers nicely on the skin. It's a truly luxurious product.

13.) Tarte Cheek Stain in Blushing Bride. I received this as a generous gift from my aunt on an outing to Sephora. I've been enthralled ever since. The sheer plum color is super flattering, and perfect for the colder months. I'm sure this is just the beginning of my friendship with this product too, because these tubes last forever, I haven't even had to push up any more product yet.

14.) Nyx Taupe Blush. After months (possibly years) of hearing Nikki of Nikkitutorials talk about Nyx blush in Taupe, I had to try it out. She, as usual, was completely right. This grey/taupe powder makes an amazing contour. It's a versatile product that with a light hand looks very natural, and with a heavier hand can make for some crazy high fashion contouring! Thank you Nyx for making such affordable artist grade products.
In fact the whole month of November's gone by without a peep from my end. I suck, sorry. But anyway, back today with a review and swatches of some of NYX's slim lip pencils. I love NYX they're such a great affordable brand, these lip liners are under $4 USD. Before I start this review I have a confession: of my numerous lip products I hardly have any lip liners. Previously I only really used lipliners for a red lip. But I've been meaning to expand my collection, and here we are.

I got four colors, two light shades and two deep. I chose Nude Pink, Peek a Boo Natural, Plum, and Prune. Sorry for the photo quality btw, getting good pictures of my lips is really hard. As for the formula, these meet most of my criteria. These are soft but not slippery, the color payoff is great, and they definitely help lipstick to stay in place. However unlike my MAC lip pencils these will not last through a meal, which might be a problem for some people. For me... it's not a huge deal. Anyway let's move on to the colors!

L: Bare Lips R: Nude Pink. I think this is a super wareable shade on many skin tones. Its a slightly warm light pink. It has enough color to not have that 'dead' nude lip look while staying neutral and light. This is about half a shade lighter than my natural lip color. I definitely see myself reaching for this color when I'm doing a darker eye look.

L: Bare Lips R: Peek a Boo Natural. This shade is darker than Nude pink. This one is about half a shade darker then my natural lip. It leans a little brown, I think it wouldn't be the most flattering shade on cooler complexions. On me it's a good MLBB type shade, and is quite similar to one of my favorite neutral lipsticks MAC Mocha.

L: Bare Lips R: Plum. Now we're getting deeper! This is more a plum/berry in my opinion. It's pretty balanced between red a purple tones. I think is sort of classic deep berry that's great for winter, must have for me.
L: Bare Lips R: Prune. Prune is the darkest shade in this bunch. NYX describes it as a violet-plum, which I find pretty accurate. It's definitely purple and not a berry. It's quite cool toned, but has enough red in it to make it still very wearable. I'm in lurveeee with this shade, it's delightfully vampy without pulling too goth or vampy on me. I've been pairing it with Illamasqua Hermetic Intense lipgloss (a dark bronze burgundy) and it's stunning. The perfect dark statement lip.

I'm really enjoying all of these, NYX has done it again! You can get these online or at Ulta for $3.50USD

Hey there! I'm back today with another Halloween look for you guys, and this one is an old standby. Sort of a straight up vampire look that would suit a lot of different vampire costumes. Now I'm well aware that there are looks of different kinds of vampires. This look is a take on the aristocratic/gothic sexy vampire, that's been popularized from Stoker to Rice over the years. I'm a little surprised I haven't done one yet! A little note about the eye makeup: I'm using a lot of red in this look, which I think compliments the overall aesthetic. It's Halloween, and I thoroughly encourage stepping out of you comfort zone! That being said, I know a lot of people shy about from red on the eyes. I can understand this, and think that you could sub some warm plum tones instead if you really want to.

So for this look I started with the eyes, which is crucial for when you're blending dark colors. I started out with a eyeshadow primer all over the eye and brow bone. Then I took a matte true red on a flat brush and really pack it on the lid, you want it a bright as possible. With the same color on a fluffy brush, you want to softly blend around the eye socket. this will make a really pretty transition for the black. In the outer corner of my eye I took a little bit of a burgundy shade a packed that on, for even more of a transition.

Then with a tapered crease brush I took a matte black eye shadow I started to blend upwards and out into a dramatic V. Then back down again into the socket. Then I went around the socket again with the red on the fluffy brush. Then back with the black, you want to keep this up until the blending and intensity is where you want it. With a smaller brush a took the black eye shadow under my eye a bit and blended it in. Then I blended out the edge with a matte white on a fluffy brush. I also took a bit of the white and put it in my inner corner.

Moving right along, I lined my upper and lower waterline with a black pencil liner. Then with a black gel liner on an angled brush I made a medium thick line across my eye, it went out a little the the end but it's not super winged out. You don't want too much just enough of a line to blend in the lashes. If you aren't wearing falsies, you might want more liner. Then I added a light coat of waterproof mascara on my top and bottom lashes. Then I added a pair a very defined lashes that taper out into the corner. Just use what you have, or what ever will compliment your costume.

Moving on to the face! I started by wiping away the fallout with a makeup wipe, this is super important. After that you can start on the foundation. If you're fair to medium skinned you can use a white face paint if you like. (I don't know if I'd recommend it for darker skin tones.) For me I'm fair enough (P.s the lightening always makes me about 2 shades paler) that I didn't think it was necessary. So I applied a foundation normally, and applied concealer under my eyes and over any blemishes. (Vampires don't get acne. XD) And then I used the same matte white from before on a bigger brush and used that as a highlight. I blended that into the high planes of my face, which add dimension as well as lightening my face up a bit more. I used a taupe shade to contour a little, I probably should have used more. Finally I topped it off with the teensiest amount of a red blusher. You have just feasted after all!

Alright for the lips I applied a medium blue toned red lipstick. Then comes the best part: the fake blood! So with a blood paste I sort of dabbed it around my mouth messily, there is really no rhyme or reason for blood application. Then I mixed some of my blood paste with water to make it runny, this is unnecessary if you're using blood gel or squirt blood. Then I put it to the corner of my mouth and just let it drip down.
Want a super fast DIY Halloween costume? Give yourself a badass scar with your new best friend: Rigid Collodion aka scarring liquid. It's a a clear liquid that causes the skin around it to tense, creating a 3d scar like dent. A few things I should mention first though, this product can be dangerous if misused. Do not put this directly on your eye area, the skin there is far to delicate and if it got in your eye, it could probably blind you. Also, don't use this a bunch of times in the same spot, that could potentially actually scar you. But it's very easy to use, so no worries! :D I got mine at a local makeup supply store, but a Halloween or costume store is also likely to have this.

For this look you need two things, Rigid Collodion (duh), and a pink or red lip pencil. With your pencil lightly trace where you want the scar. (Make sure to use a very light hand if you're using red like I did.) I also recommend smoothing it out with your fingertip a little bit. Next apply your first layer of the scarring liquid. Blowing on it will make it go faster, you only need about 45 seconds between each layer. Squishing the skin around it in will help it scrunch more. You will need about ten coats for full effect but you can really start to see it after three. Afterward you can leave it as is, or color it if you choose. You can't see how deep it looks in these photos, in real life it looks really deep.
So a couple weeks ago I was target and the Sonia Kushuk section set out it's siren's song. I wound up getting the Brush and Sponge Cleanser, so let's see how it holds up!
Alright so this is a deep cleanser for brushes (I was hoping it was a spot cleaner, not gonna lie) that claims to extend the life of your brushes by cleaning and conditioning them. Directions are as follows:

1.) Wet brush hair or sponge, liberally spray on Brush and Sponge Cleanser.

2.) With your fingers gently massage cleanser into brush hairs, or sponge to form a good lather.

3.) Rinse until water runs clear (You may need to repeat step 2 with sponges).

4.) Gently squeeze out excess water.

5.) Dry flat.

These instructions seem fairly straightforward to me, although I don't dry my larger brushes flat. I followed the instructions for the purpose of this review and these are my findings. Overall this is a very effective product. It cleaned a wide selection of brushes with different products. It's very good at getting stray pigment out of light colored brushes, I was excited to see the tops of my skunk brushes actually turn white! The one thing it wouldn't clean didn't surprise me. Something about my foundation (I believe it's Rimmel Lasting Finish's fault. It has a built in aqua primer.) will not come out of my brushes unless I use dish soap! But other then that it cleaned very well. Moving along, the conditioning agent seems to be working as well. My brushes feel very soft after washing, which is not always the case with natural hair brushes unfortunately. It also has a nice scent; it smells lightly herbal, like rosemary. It reminds me a little of Aveda products. As for extending the life of my brushes, that'll take more time to tell!

Do I like this product? Yes, definitely! However it is less cost effective than my normal cleanser (baby shampoo!) but it also softens a lot more. Also I'm not a huge fan of it being in a spray format. It's hard to aim, so I mostly wind up squirting it onto my hand and then dipping the brush in.

You can find Sonia Kashuk Brush and Sponge Cleanser at target.com or select target stores for $6.99 USD

Ohhhh yeeaahhh! First Halloween look of the season here on Spice Drop! I wanted something really festive and cute to start things out with. So I chose a Halloween classic for my inspiration, candy corn! Love it or hate it, candy corn is a Halloween Staple and would be a easy cute costume. I'm using mostly Sugarpill eyeshadows for this, use what ever you have but make sure it's matte!

So I started by applying a eyeshadow base all over my eye and blending a white cream base all over my lids and brow bone. This'll make an even base for the eyeshadow as well as making the colors pop more. My eyebrows already have natural arch so that's where I'm putting the tip of my candy corn. If yours don't, use this time to figure out where you want the point to be. I also but a bit of the white underneath my eyes. With a flat brush and a matte yellow eyeshadow I placed the first layer of her candy corn all over my lids and out, to creat trapazoid shape. (If you have a big lid space you might want to section the layers off more) You want colors to be as bright as possible, so really pack the color on. The yellow was the easy part, as you up you're going to need it to make it a triangle shape and so you need to be careful where you place your color. To make a cleaner line you could use the tape method, but I thought that would look too harsh for this. Instead I took the edge of a paper as my guider. The next layer is orange, so I made a similar layer as the yellow but smaller. This layer also has my crease, so I had to bend the orange in with out getting it in the yellow. Don't sweat the colors mixing too much though, it happens on the candy itself! Then at the top goes the white, make sure it's very very white it needs to stand out. To clean and make the edge stand out more take a eyeshadow in the same tone as your skin (or a face powder) and cover whats left of the white base. I then applied a black gel eyeliner thinly along my lash line, and continued straight out a little ways. I filled in my eyebrows with a colored powder normally, if you want to create a faux pointed arch that'd be cool. I then applied a quick coat of black mascara then put on some flasies, but thats completely optional.

I applied some pretty standard foundation and concealer, nothing too interesting there. I then added some orange blush to warm up my complexion and continue the orange tone throughoLumut the look. For the lips I made a custom red-orange shade. And that's pretty much it!

So I've been a bit of a slacker lately, sorry about that. Part of the reason I've been so lazy lately is that I've constant bouts of allergies and colds. :( But it's inspired my latest post, my top five must haves for cold season!

1.) Tazo Green Ginger Tea. The kind of tea isn't really that important, I've just been digging this one lately. The combination of heat and tannins is exactly what you need when you're feeling crappy. I also really like Tazo Zen tea (green tea with spearmint and lemongrass), and Celestial Seasoning's Peppermint Tea. Extra points if you add honey which I'll talk about more in 3!

2.) Emergen-C in Tangerine. This stuff is a life saver! Especially if you feel like you're about to get sick, or are concerned about getting infected by those around you. This gives you a quick direct dose of vitamin C, which does wonders for your immune system. Oh but personal preference, I only like the Tangerine flavor (NOT super orange) the others are sort of disgusting. But yay tangerine!

3.) THIS STUFF! I originally was recommended this by my aunt via Pintrest. It is a sore throat game changer. Step aside lemon honey cough drops, this Lemon Honey Ginger tea base is a million times better. It's tasty and cost effective, definitely check out the link.

4.) Kleenex Go Packs. You can usually find these in the check out aisle of target in packs of three. If you have allergies like I do, you know the importance of always having tissues with you. These are the perfect size for your purse or backpack, and are resealable.

5.) Bath and Body Works PocketBac hand sanitizer. I work with people, and money. I take the bus and rail. I share a house with children. These all mean that regular sanitation is my only hope for not being constantly sick. These are cheap and come in a variety of scents. My favorites are the fresh lavender, and Warm Vanilla Sugar, but seasonal ones like this Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin are fun. (Also twisted peppermint! My absolute favorite!)

May the sickness odds ever be in your favor lovely readers! I got it in the shade Cranberry Crush. I picked this up at Walgreens for just few dollars, and as per usual with Jordana it turned out to be surprisingly great! Lets go check it out!

The product goes on glossy and smooth with quite a lot of pigmentation for this type of product! The color is a super pretty raspberry, that I think would look pretty on many different skintones. After the glossy finish fades, you're left with a cute matte stain. Yes this actually is a stain! Not just a tinted lip balm. In fact while this product goes on smooth and doesn't dry out my lips, I don't find it to be that moisturizing. A little goes a long way, but something I should mention, start in the center of your lips with this stuff, then move it out a little. Otherwise it can look a tad lip line-y. It doesn't have any taste, but it has a yummy fruit smell that reminds me of my Plum Korres Lip Butter.

Lets talk about packaging! It comes presharpened in a plastic twist up tube. The the tube and the cap feel pretty substantial, so I'm not overly concerned about it cracking (I'm lookin at you NYX Jumbo Pencils!) and the twist up works well. It doesn't stick or go up too fast, and yes it does allow you to twist back down. With 0.095 oz of product, it doesn't come with a lot, but considering the amount you need and price, it doesn't bother me.

Jordana Twist & Shine Pencils retail for $2.99 USD at Walgreens. You can also find them online pretty easily.

Sephora + Urban DecayErmahgerd. Fall is officially here! Autumn is by far my favorite season and this especially applies to makeup! Dark lips, jewel tones, plums. Ughhhh so much love. Anyway I recently spent waayyyy too money at Spehora and Urban Decay recently, so I thought I would show you and give you some first impressions.

It wasn't until I photographed them together that I noticed a distinct color theme

Okay first we have the crown jewel of this haul, the brand new Urban Decay Vice 2 Palette! The first few days it was out it was only available on their web site, and I cracked down. Clearly waiting the three days for it to get to Sephora would have killed me. Anyway this palette is fantastic! I'll do a separate post that's more in depth later, but quick over view: 20 eyeshadows, only dislike one, great packaging, and already used it a bunch.

Alright Sephora by OPI nail polish is on sale right now for $4.50 a bottle. Soooo I bought a couple. I got I'm With Brad a metallic wine over a dark coffee base, and On Stage an opaque grey plum. I'm so in love with both of them! I've heard rave reviews of I'm With Brad, On Stage I got as just a whim. I'm so glad I did though! On Stage is the perfect sexy unexpected neutral for fall. Also the formula for both of these is very good, particularly for On Stage.

Okay this one is also exciting and deserves a separate post. It's OCC lip tar in Black Metal Dahlia from OCC's new Monderncraft Collection. This lip tar is so ridiculously amazing! It's a blacken burgundy with TONS of red shimmer. I'm so in love!

And finally bought a tube of the Tarte Maracuja Creaseless Concealer that I love so very much. I only waited so long to buy it because a little goes a very long way, and I still had my sample from winter. (Crazy!) I'm glad I have the full size now though, the packaging is super cute! I love the little bamboo cap.

Happy fall everyone! What fall makeup are you excited for? Let me know in the comments!

So first we have Cailyn 'Tinted Lip Balm'. Alright first things first, this in no sense a tinted lip balm. What it is, is a very pigmented near matte red lipstick. I love the packaging! It comes with a little brush that pops out of the top.

Nest is a Single Eyeshadow from Nyx in Charcoal. I love NYX, and I'm always happy to get stuff from them. This is no exception! This shadow is smooth, easy to blend, and has great pigmentation. I used it on my lids, with greater concentration in the outer corners. Very pretty.

Elizabeth Mott It's So Big! Mascara. Can we all take a to snicker about the name like middle schoolers? Good? Okay. I liked this mascara fairly well. It's volume and length are reasonable if not spectacular, but it separates super well!

Starlooks Kohl Eye Pencil in Obsidian. At first I wasn't thrilled, I already have a lot of black pencil liners. But this one is actually pretty nice! It's very black, creamy, and doesn't transfer. I used this in my waterline, and smudged along was lash line and outer V with a pencil brush. I also put the the extra product on the brush under my eyes a bit.

And finally Freeman Beauty Facial Paper masks. I got sent three to try: Purifying Star Fruit, Brighting Rose, and Hydrating Blue Agave. I tried out the starfruit one, it was only okay. The scent was really strong and fake which I didn't enjoy. I'll be trying the rose one soon, I hope I like it I've always been interested in paper masks!

So thats it for this months Ipsy Bag! You can get it for $10 USD per month here. What you think? Let me know in the comments! :)

Hey guys I have a fun (and hopefully helpful) post for you guys today! I've complied a list of my absolute favorite products for my skin. Just some quick info about my skin first so you get an idea of why these work for me, and if they'll work for you. I have oily/acne prone skin with no real wrinkles. I'd say I was a pretty average sensitivity level, I will mention if I think something would bother sensitive skin. These are in no particular order, I thought numbering them would be pointless because they all have different uses. Also all of these are tried and true products for me, not new faves. I've had time to judge my skins reaction properly Alright let's see 'em!

1.) Lush Ocean Salt Scrub. This is hands down my favorite hard core exfoliant! This scrub has sea salt (duh) to get rid of dead skin and dirt while avocado, lime, and seaweed soften and clear your skin. I generally have some results after just one use. This is a great weekly scrub and fantastic right before a purifying mask. Big big fan! $21.95 USD for 4.2 oz at Lush.

2.) Yesto Tomatoes Daily Balancing Moisturizer. This was a toss up between this product and Lush Vanishing Cream my other favorite. (I chose this one because they work the same on me and this one is less expensive!) This moisturizer is made to keep sebum in check to help oily skin stay healthy instead of greasy. This moisturizer is high in skin boosting antioxidants like tomatoes, and red tea which is great. My skin much smoother and healthier when I use this, but there are a couple other nice things about this product that are more cosmetic. First, it has a pump! Pumps are always the preferred, because they stay sanitary. This is key when you have acne prone skin! Also the yes to tomatoes line has the most amazing scent (expect for the scrub) it smells a little like vanilla spice cake to me. I love it! $14.99 USD Yes to Carrots.

3.) Boots Expert Anti-Blemish Cleansing Foam. I've been using this cleanser for awhile, and I really like it. It's very gentle and fragrance free but takes my makeup off and helps prevent acne with the help of willow bark extract. This one I would definitely recommend for people with sensitive skin. This also works great with my clarisonic, which I'll be mentioning in a little bit. $5.69 USD from Boots

4.) Best Face Forward Daily Foaming Cleanser by Formula 10.0.6. Okay so this cleanser is not for sensitive skin. In fact I need to moisturize after using this stuff. However it is a very effective acne cleanser, for a low cost. The passionfruit green tea scent is really nice too! From Formula 10.0.6 buy for $5.99 USD from walgreens.

5.) The Clarisonic Mia. So this is a tool rather than a product, but I needed to include this on the list! This product has definitely improved my skin, and makes my breakouts heal faster. However my favorite part is that it takes ALL my makeup off. I can put my makeup on at six in the morning, and when I take my makeup off at eleven at night and the brush will be orange with product. It's amazing, but I'm not going to oversell this product. Its a great tool, but it's not life changing super product like a lot of people say it is. So if you're broke, this might not be worth it for you. $125 USD from Clarisonic.

6.) Lush Fresh Face Masks. I couldn't choose just one! I love lush's fresh face masks, and the good news is that they have one to suit every skin type. My favorite is Cupcake, it controls oil and smells AMAZING. Like chocolate, vanilla, and mint. But I also really like Cosmetic Warrior which is fantastic for controlling acne. There are several others I like too. $6.95 at Lush stores (N/A online)

7.) Lush Dark Angels Scrub. This charcoal scrub is straight up addictive! Dark angels is a much gentler scrub. I use it 2-3 times a week, and I used to use it daily. It makes your skin super soft and the smell becomes an addiction. $12.95 USD for 3.5 oz at Lush.

8.) Mario Badescu Drying Lotion. Okay fellow acne sufferers, this is the hands down the best spot treatment I've ever used. It's a calamine based over night treatment, you dip a clean cotton swab into the pink sediment at the bottom of the bottle, and dad it over your zit. You go to sleep and it reduces or removes the zit. It is the best, no joke. The bottle is small, but it'll last you years. $17.00 USD for 1 oz from Mario Badescu. (P.S if you're at Ulta or at the counter get it in the plastic bottle, trust me.)

9.) Mario Badescu Silver Powder. This powder mask is great for blackheads, and excess oil. Its a little tricky to apply, and leaves a white cast so its definitely a night time mask. This also will last you forever. I've had the same tub for two years and am only half way through it. $12.00 USD for 1 oz from Mario Badescu.

10.) Finally, I know some of you guys don't have the patience for a whole face routine. While I definitely encourage you to slowly build up a regime, I have the perfect product for you. Formula 10.0.6 Keep Me Clean Wipes. They remove makeup and help fight acne. $5.99 USD at Walgreens.

I mean ipsy practically keeps me alive while I'm broke. So when I heard about Rocks Box, my interest was piqued. It's a jewelry rental subscription where you fill out a survey and they send you a box with three items of jewelry. Don't like the the items? Send the box back as many times as you like for one monthly fee. Love the item so much you can't part with it? You can buy them for a discounted price. Otherwise you have 60 days to wear it and send it back. I really liked my first box, so I want to share it with you!
Finally we have this awesome necklace! This is dead on for what I like. I love that boho/sexy gypsy style of necklace, and have been wearing this all the time.

I think this program is a really fun idea. I really like the concept, and the product they sent me. I love all the new subscription services that are popping up these days, and I definitely recommend trying this one out!

It's $20 dollars per month or less monthly per year, at RocksBox.
Hey guys I have a super exciting review for you today. I got to test out the new Conair Infiniti curl secret pro hair curler. It uses some crazy new technology like something out of the Jetsons. So if you're interested in some space age hair tech, keep reading!

The coolest part of this curling iron is clearly how it works. You simply place the hair into the shaft and it's scoops it up it's really hard to explain said actually taking a short video to show you guys. (I know it's my first video, crazy!)

It's amazing I was so freaked out even though I've seen the commercial. It has several different settings he can control the heat of the curl which in turn control how tight the curl is. The video is of my sister because she has much shorter hair than I do, so it's a lot easier to show you that. But here's some pictures of my hair before and after curling.

I didn't on the highest setting beginning nice long tendrils however due to the length of my hair. It's around 26 inches. I wasn't able to get it all into the shaft. I tried but it malfunctioned and made it really hard to pull my hair out. It was kind of a nightmare, so beware of that if you long hair. I figure the way around this was to start in the center of making so the entire length of the hair wasn't curled however it gave the ends of my hair a very nice curl. This is just one of the realities of having long hair.

This curler takes a little getting used to but after you do it's really easy to use. Every kernel is going just be exactly the same and perfect which if you're bad a curling your hair perfectly or if you wish to get rid of those 'creases' this might be a huge plus for you. It's also super fast you do it in fairly small sections at a time sure (1 inch) however every single section, even at the highest setting, only takes 12 seconds. Granted I have fine hair but I was able to curl my entire head in about 10 minutes.

Alright now on to the cons, and this has a few. Besides the length problem which I already told you, this curler have a few if it's own kinks it needs to sort out. My biggest issue with it is I felt that my curls felt really fast. My hair isn't prone to curling easily. But over the years I found lots of methods to make it work. The right hairspray and having ceramic curler are the solution. And don't get me wrong I love Conair ceramic curling irons I have two of them use 'em all the time, weekly basis, big fan. So I really don't know what caused the issue. Just make sure it wasn't just me I did tester it on my sister. I found that she pretty much the same results as I even with a different length. It's possible it could be my hair take however fine here is not the hardest kind of hair to curl.

All and all I think this is a super cool hair tool, with crazy new technology. I think this would be great at parties, and that's it's super easy to use for perfect curls every time. Will it become part of my everyday hair routine? Nah, I'm sticking with my Conair You Curl for that. But this is a very fun product.

The Conair Curl Infiniti Curl Secret Pro retails for $99.00 USD and is for sure available at Ulta and online at http://www.curlsecret.com/.
I totally spaced doing my July favorites, so this post isn't just my August favorites but the reigning champions from the whole summer. Amusingly this is exactly what happened last year. So lets go!

And this was scaled back...

This is a huge favorites post, so I've divided it in to sections. Starting with.....

Makeup Favorites

So first off I have Coola Tinted Moisturizer which I reviewed here already. Still in love! Its basically replaced all my other TMs and BB creams.

Sonia Kashuk Sheer Shimmering Highlighter. So I got this back in June, as a total impulse purchase at Target. Oh my goodness, I've never been so pleased with a product I didn't research. This has made it into my everyday makeup routine. It just gives the healthiest glow, but I did a whole post on it already so I'll stop gushing.

MAC Woodwinked Eyeshadow. This has always been one of my favorite MAC shades (if not my very favorite) but I've used it soooo much recently. I used it is several posts, but I can easily say I've worn this at least one day every week this summer. Its the prettiest bronze/gold shade. The formula is one of my favorites across my collection too: buttery, blendable, and fantastic pigmentation! Luurrrrve.

Another MAC, this is Honey Jasmine Powder blusher from their All About Orange collection. This is another product that I just wore the hell out of this summer, I will likely wear this a lot this fall as well. I adore very warm orange toned blushes on gingers, and this is the perfect blush for that look.

I was super excited to get my hands on one of Lime Crime's Velvetines! I review this one already here but if you haven't read that or heard of them, its a matte lipgloss that goes on and then stays put! Through.... quite a lot actually! This one is is a stunning warm red.

NYX Butter Gloss in Peach Cobbler. This smooth creamy red orange gloss lived in my purse for most of the summer. I like having a back up lip color with me that I know for sure that love. This has enough color to pop, with out a lot of fuss. Win win!

Finally Revlon Lip Butter in Tutti Frutti. Another product that warranted its own post. This orangey lip butter was a summer staple for me this year. I rocked this more times then I count. The lip butters are a product that I always come back to.

Bronzing

There are also some honorable mentions for this post, Jergen's Natural glow, and NYC Smooth Skin Bronzer in Sunny. But I wanted to have products that I recently discovered.

So first off I have Too Faced Milk Chocolate Bronzer. The color pay off is great well still looking natural. I got this in the Sephora Sun Safety Favorites and was thrilled! This matte medium/dark bronzer too dark for all over bronzing on me (I leave that one to NYC's) however it's fantastic for contouring! Great product.

St. Topez One Night Only Instant Body glow. This body bronzer is the best perk up for pale skin for special occasions or just when ever you want to rock a short skirt! It's damn near impossible to mess up, and even if you manage to, it just washes off with water. ;D

Sun Protection

For my face I've used Ole Henriksen's Protect the Truth SPF 50 sunscreen for most of the summer. I really love it because its oil free and doesn't break me out. I have a problem with sunscreens and primers giving me crazy break outs but this one works great.

For my body Sun Bum has me covered! I've been using this a lot, especially when I'm outside all day. I reviewed this one already here so I won't say too much more, but this is definitely worth the couple extra bucks!

First we have Bath and Body Works Forever Sunshine Shower Gel. This has been by far my favorite shower gel this summer. It's a light bath and body works says that it's a "juicy tangerine, pink peonies, creamy sandalwood, and a touch of sweet praline." I'd say thats a pretty good description, however as with a lot of b&bw scents the notes aren't easy to pick up by themselves. But it's a light sweet warm floral. Mmmm...

Nest up was my favorite perfume this summer Victoria Secret Angel Gold. This perfume came as a surprise me, but a happy one. Its a lovely light citrusy floral thats perfect for summer. It has notes of bergamot, gardenia, peony, and light musk. Rounded out with a bunch citrus notes. It's a young scent, but classy. I've been living in this all summer.

Sunglasses! They don't need to be expensive. Just cute and UV protective! I got these at target for like twelve bucks. 'Nuff said.

Summer Boardwalk candle from Bath and Body Works. Oh my goodness! I have a huge weakness for food scent candles, and this one is amazing! It smells like candy apples, and carmel corn. It's like the world's cleanest carnival, all the yumminess none of the sweat and trash. I've got about a third left, I'll keep burning it till I have some fall candles and then save the rest for next year.

Juice Beauty Hydrating Mist. This stuff feels like magic on a hot day. Especially if you put it in the fridge for a little while before hand. I can't really tell you how hydrating this is, because I don't have dry skin. But for a quick cool down, this stuff is the best! It's also great to make your makeup look less 'powdery'.

I've had a fantastic (if fleeting) summer, and I'm sooo excited for this fall! What about you guys, anything interesting happen, new product? Slacker here! This may or may not be the last look in my fairytale series, but if is the last one at least I love the look! I tried to keep these from being too Disney inspired but a little might've slipped in this one, lol. Honestly I got more inspiration from Regina's makeup on Once Upon a Time. But that aside from that I wanted this makeup to be a bit contradictory: dark but still colorful, sudden but not stark, and only a little bit sinister. ;D Let's go see!

First I placed an eye shadow primer to my eyelids, face, and put on some lip balm. You want everything primed before you start. Then I applied a white cream base to my eyelids. Then starting in the center and moving towards the outside I patted a matte red eyeshadow onto the lid. With a bright matte purple I did the same thing on the outer side of my eyelids. I blended this shades together in the middle little bit but this doesn't have to be pretty this needs to just the right pigmented base for the rest the eyeshadow to go on top of. Over those two colors (leaving the outside of both clean) I patted a deep shimmering magenta with a blue shift. Then moving in from the right onto the white lid space that's left I put a little bit of a cranberry color. Then the fluffy brush and went in with a mauve eyeshadow as a transition color all around the area where my crease color will be. Then with the same matte purple as before I started to slowly deepen the crease, blending out the edges into a cat eye shape. Once the purple was blended I went with a matte black closer to my natural crease and pulled it through the socket. After that I took a skin toned color and a fluffy brush and cleaned up my brow bone. Careful not to blend too much away though, you don't want the mauve to disappear. Then with a black pencil liner I lined the entirety of my water line. I took a bit of the pencil liner on the outer corner of my lower lash line line and blended it out a little. Then with a little more of the purple I blended it up into the eyeshadow a little more. Then I took a black gel eyeliner I made a tapered line from thick to barely there across my lids. I didn't want to leave my inner corner highlight just plain white, so I patted a opalescent shimmer over it, which give a really 'glowy' effect. Then I did my brows and applied black mascara.

For my face I started out with a luxurious amount of full coverage foundation. Because evil queens don't mess around when it comes to coverage. After that I concealed under my eyes and lightly dusted there and my t zone to make sure everything set. With a taupe contouring powder I went under my cheekbones, a more lightly on my temples, jaw and nose. Then with a deep fuchsia blush on a fan brush I lightly applied it on my cheek bones. The had shimmer in it, so I skipped highlighter. I didn't want this look to be very shimmery.

For my lips I applied a blue toned red lip liner under a berry-purple lip stain balm.

Today I'm gonna review the August 2013 Ipsy Glam Bag. I haven't done these reviews in a while, even though I've continued to get the service. But this month was so much fun that I wanted to give them a shout out! Lets go and see!

In this months bag I got a Michael Todd true organics jojoba and charcoal facial scrub (deluxe), an Urban Decay mini revolution lipstick in anarchy, a Pixi beauty lash booster mascara (deluxe size), a Mica beauty cosmetics bronze loose eyeshadow (full size), and a Nailtini nail polish in Mai Tai (full size). Ermahgerd.

I did this quick look with the makeup items in this bag! :3

Let's start out with the Michael Todd True organics. I'm a big fan of charcoal scrubs in general and was really excited to try a Michael Todd product. I've heard nothing but good things, and this one is no exception. I love the lush dark angels charcoal scrub but this one is different in many ways. It comes out in a dark smooth paste with small particles for scrubbing. I think this product would be perfect for sensitive skin because it's a scrub, but it's not very abrasive. After using this product my face felt really smooth and moisturized but not oily at all. Also it smells fantastic! I always love the smell of charcoal scrubs they have a very earthy pretty sent.

Next up the urban decay revolution lipstick. Can we start by talking about how adorable the packaging is? It's so tiny! But not in a bad way. For a deluxe sample it contains quite a bit of lipstick and I think will last me a while. Also the shade, anarchy, is gorgeous. It's a hot pink that's super super bright, I'm in love! The formula is fantastic. It's creamy goes on smoothly and lasts very well.

Alrighty so on to the pixi lash booster mascara. This is the only product I wasn't wowed by in this bag. It's very natural looking mascara, that doesn't clump on the lashes which is nice. Also because this is a deluxe size the brush is really small so it's good for getting bottom lashes. A very comparable, but much cheaper mascara is the Maybelline Full n Soft mascara. It's one of my go to mascaras I'm tired because there's absolutely no way you can mess it up. It also leaves your lashes soft so you can always apply more later today if they need a little bit of a perk up. However the Full n Soft mascara doesn't smudge nearly as much as this (maybe because I use waterproof) so overall Pixi fell a little flat for me.

On to the Mica beauty cosmetics loose eyeshadow in Bronze. This color I reminded me a lot of Mac woodwinked eyeshadow. When I compare them I noticed some differences. MAC woodwinked is darker bronze with strong gold shift. Mica Bronze a lighter more coppery bronze with more red undertones. Also the Mica is more of a straight up metallic, where as the MAC is almost a duochrome. I really really like how metallic it is, even dry. (In fact it's actually better dry)

Lastly Nailtini Polish in Mai Tai. Ohhh I really like this nail polish! It's reddish true coral cream, with a fantastic formula! It was almost a one coater, but I added a second just in case. Excellent shade, and great for the summer-fall transition. (Not the color on my nails in the picture!)

And the bag this month was adorbs! It's a warm purple with a cute gold school crest pattern.

Review and OCC ComparisonHey there darlings! Sorry it's been awhile, my life has been crazy! (Mostly in good ways thankfully!) But that's not a very good excuse, now is it? Anyway today I'm reviewing a couple of of Sleek's Pout Paints, a much talked about dupe for OCC's famous lip tars. I'll review and compare them, as well as showing you some fun colors I've mixed together. This post is probably going to be pretty pic heavy!

So just some quick background info for those of you who don't know, Sleek Pout Paints are an intensely pigmented liquid lipsticks that are applied in small amounts with a lip brush or mixed with other colors create custom shades. Sound familiar? That's because these are a cheaper alternative to Obsessive-compulsive cosmetics Lip Tars. I've been a fan of OCC Lip Tars for years, however even with my pro discount they are considerably more expensive than Sleek's version. But how do they stack up?

The first shade I got is called cloud nine. It's a straight up cool white, to lighten other colors. I took this picture to show you the color, but I must admit it's very hard to work with. Part of that is the nature of the color lighter shades in any form of lipstick can tend to get chalky, and a pure white pigment is not really meant to be used on its own. It is however very pigmented, and when I to mixed it with other colors it lightened them easily.

The other shade I got is called Peek-a-Bloo. It's a rich medium blue shade. It's not quite neutral it leans a little to the warm side, but not too noticeable. That shade was much easier to work with than the white overall. The consistency was better, and it was easier to form clean lines. Once I got over how weird the shade was it's actually very beautiful lipstick.

Now onto the fun part! I mixed these two shades with some my OCC Lip Tars create different shades. (I own the black and red)

I made a really dark vampy plum to start out with, just for fun. I used two parts red, to half a part black, and one part blue.

I was a little too goth for me so I made a really cute grape shade, using only a little more red then blue and a tiny bit of white.

I also wanted to experiment with lavender shades à la Lime Crime. This one was more blue than red and lots of white. I also mixed a little more blue in the center.

And if weird purple shades don't suit your, fancy you can also use these to create more normal colors. These kinds of products are great for reproducing lost lipstick shades that you miss. I made this super cute pink!

Now I need is to get OCC's yellow shade and I'll have the primary colors as well as black and white. I should be able to create what ever shade I want at thay point. :D

Overall I do think OCC's Lip are higher quality than the Sleek Paint Pouts. However is price is more important to you, definitely give these a shot!

Today I have another review I'm excited about, Coola Rose Essence Tint. Which is currently my absolute favorite tinted moisturizer. It has so much goodness packed into it that I'm just going to let them tell you whats in it:

Organic Sunflower Seed Extract promotes elasticity while organic Linseed Oil, containing Alpha-Linolenic Acids, reduces redness and irritation. The phyto-protector Plankton Extract rejuvenates, as organic Cucumber Extract calms skin.

Hypoallergenic

Paraben Free

The product is very light, and slightly liquidy. It seems to have a very strong yellow undertone at first, like "Will I look jaundiced?" style of undertone. But the product is very sheer and spread out the yellow undertone helps neutralize the redness in your face, as you can probably see in the photos above. The coverage is light but gives a wonderful natural looking finish that really looks like skin. If you build the product up for a second layer you can actually cover some blemishes in darkness and your skin. As you can see my dark circles aren't completely gone, but they are partially covered; it also really evened and brightened my skin tone. The product feels fantastic! It's very lightweight, and has a cooling feeling while going on. And while not as good as a full on moisturizer, it is very hydrating. It's ideal for anyone with dry skin, or fine lines. Also a little goes a long way, I only used about two pumps for my whole face. The packaging is very convenient, with a malleable plastic tube, and a pump for sanitary application. That being said (and this may just be my bottle) the pump is a bit difficult. You have to work at it a bit to get product out, and be careful that the profit doesn't splatter when it does come out. Another small flaw is it does have a tendency to transfer. I've noticed this with other hydrating foundations too. I think it might be that they never fully 'set' so that way your skin doesn't get dry. This is easy enough to fix, either lightly dust powder over your face after every application, or just make sure to wipe off your phone every time you make a call. ;D

All and all I really enjoy this product. I think it does a way better job at brightening and evening my skin than any bb cream I've tried. On their website they do refer to it as a 'cc' cream, but lets get really its a tinted moisturizer.

This retails for $36.00 USD for 1.7 oz.

So what do you guys think? Let me know in the comments! :)
Don't think I forgot about my fairytale series! Today I have my next look which is based on the little mermaid. Again I didn't want this series to be Disney inspired, especially because Sephora just released their little mermaid collection. The last couple looks have been a little more wearable so this one I wanted to go a bit more over the top and crazy with this one.

After applying primer I put the white base in the shape that I want the eye make up, which is a bit of a cat eye. Then with a flat brush I patted a light blue eyeshadow on the majority of my eyelid. After that I put a teal color on the outside of my eyelid. Then with a dark blue I filled in the rest of the cat eye and along my socket. In my inner corners I used a seafoam green color to brighten it up. Then with black gel eyeliner I made a wing to match the eyeshadow. I also added so white to my inner rims, and applied mascara to my upper and lower lashes. Then I did my brows normally.

After that I started to work on my face makeup. I mixed a full coverage foundation with a tinted moisturizer to create a natural looking finish with quite a bit of coverage. Then I used a concealer to hide dark circles and any blemishes. Then using a taupe contour powder I contoured my face a bit, under the cheekbones, temples, jaw, nose the whole shabang- but pretty lightly. Then I put on a shimmering liquid highlighter, to add a sort of watery quality. Then I put on a bit of a neutral blush, just so my face wouldn't be too stark.

My forehead stuff is totally optional, I just wanted to do something fun and artsy. On a big fluffy blush I took the same light blue eyeshadow I used before, and lightly dusted it along my forehead and temples. I made a bit of a gradient, darker at the top light as you go down. Then with a pencil brush I started drawing little wavey lines that sort of mimic water. In some places I blended some white in, to add dimension. Then I drew on the little bubbles closer to my eyes and temples, and then added dots of white sling my forehead.

For my lips I mixed together some liquid lipsticks to create a bright pastel lavender. For some shine I added a lavender lip gloss in the center of my lips.
Today I have a review that I'm super excited about. I got in touch with the lovely people over at at Sun Bum, and they sent me this to show you guys. And I can hear you guys now "Really it's just a sunscreen, whats so special about this one?". Lots darling readers, lots! Shall we see what all the fuss is about?
This sunscreen makes a lot of claims: Hypoallergenic, Oil/PABA Free, Won't Clog Pores, Photostable, Waterproof, and its also enriched with Vitamin E. As well as being Paraben and Cruelty Free, and to top it off it's approved by the Skin Cancer Foundation. This one is SPF 30 but they have a range of SPF 15-70. (all at the same price weirdly enough...) Getting more interested? Excellent! Now that I've given you the the facts let's get on to the actual review.

Right off the bat I'm gonna tell you, I'm really enjoying this sunscreen. I tested it out while on vacation, (which is the best possible time to test products) where I was out in direct sunscreen for long periods of time. I followed the instructions and didn't get burned or any darker then I was before. The scent is a very classic coconut sunblock smell but it doesn't have a chemical or medicinal edge like many do. It comes out in a white lotion form. It really does feel more like a normal lotion then sunblock, and the white disappears as soon as you rub it in. Those are main deciding factors for me. There's nothing I hate more about sunscreen than when it's looks like you got hit with ectoplasm. Another good thing about this is the packaging is great. I love the logo, color choices, font, and wood pattern; more importantly though the plastic is sturdy with squeezy sides and a leak proof cap. This makes is perfect to throw in a beach bag, or purse.

You can I believe you can find this at Target, but for sure at Ulta or on their website. Retails at $15.99 USD for 8 oz.

So what do you guys think? I love comments so be sure to let me know!

I made cupcakes!

I started out with Nars Sheer Glow foundation in Deauville for a smooth perfect base. Then I along the edges of my face I blended a tiny bit on NYC Smooth Skin Bronzer to add a little more color. For a contour I used NYX Taupe Blush very lightly under my cheekbones, along my nose, my temples, and my jawline. Then I added a pop of Tarina Tarantino Parasol Doll Skin Blush for a sweet hint of pink on my cheeks. To finish off my face I added then pale pink highlighter from Benefit's 10 boxed powder on my cheekbones.

Moving to eyes I put Urban Decay Primer Potion all over, and then NYX Jumbo Eyeshadow Pencil in Milk on my lids and under my brows as a base. Then over the white on the lid I patted MAC Free to Be and and mix of that and Sugarpill Love + on the outermost third of my lid. In my outer V and under my eyes I put Urban Decay Barlust and blended out the edges with the pink shade in the Wet n Wild Comfort Palette. Over the white under my brows I patted Urban Decay Kinky for a creamy matte nude brow highlighter. In my inner corner I used the same highlighter I used on my face. Then I applied some MAC Blacktrack Fluidliner right along my lashline. Then I applied a coat of Benefit They're Real! Mascara. Then I filled in my brows with MAC Redhead Brow Creme.

For lips I applied Fresh Sugar Rose Tinted Lip Balm and patted some Avon Ultra Color Rich Lipstick in Wink the perfect medium pink lip.

So I probably won't have any blog posts for the next few days. But never fear (not that I really think you do too much) when I come back I have a ton of posts for you guys! Some reviews I'm excited about, I'll do a post on what I brought on this trip, and I also have more of my fairy tale series. So talk to you guys soon! XOXO, A.Adeline B.http://www.blogger.com/profile/11773133823936178204noreply@blogger.com1
