DIY Banana Oatmeal Mask

Hey there you guys! Today I'm going to show you how to make this very easy face mask, out of stuff you probably have in your anyway. p.s I haven't done a post like this before, show let me know in the comments if you like it! :D

So first you have to gather your ingredients. You'll need: 1 over ripe banana, 1/4 cup lemon juice, 1/2 plain oatmeal, 1 tbs honey. It's pretty easy, you mash the banana, then mix everything else in. The texture will be chunky, so be patient as you apply it to your face. Leave it on for fifteen minutes or so. You'll look silly, like this:

This mask is great for your skin for a number of reasons. The banana is cleansing and nourishing. The lemon is a astringent and brightens. The honey is anti-bacterial, so its great for ance. And the oatmeal soothes and softens. As well as being one of nature's most gentle exfoliants.

So do you guys want more DIY posts like this, let me know in the comments!

Review: Que Bella Deep Cleansing Aloe Vera Mask

Hey everyone! I hope you're having a good weekend. Today I'm reviewing a face mask from Que Bella. I noticed these in the natural beauty isle while I was at Target, they had three or four of the masks and then pouches of bubble bath.

I normally post a picture of the face mask on, but this one is actually clear so the pictures just looked weird. I suppose this makes sense because its aloe based. This one claims to 'cleanse ance prone skin, keeping it in check, and helping to nourish and rejuvenate." I thought this one would be perfect because now that its winter I still break out, but my skin gets much drier.

Its smells very strongly of lemon, and tree tree oil, which are also two of main ingredients. It wasn't strong enough to bother me, but if you're sensitive to scent it might. It comes out as a clearish gel/cream. And theres quite a lot in the package. Probably enough for two applications, but I used most of it.

Initially it was very very tingly. Almost to the point of being uncomfortable. After a minute or so the tingling stopped, but my face felt a bit tight. After the recommended 15 minutes, I washed off my face with warm water and a wash cloth. My skin did not feel moisturized, I had to add moisturizer after because my face definitely felt dry. The next day I really didn't see any improvement with my skin, so I'm not a huge fan. =( However, I will be checking out they're bubble bath!

(P.S: This mask isn't listed on their website... I find that weird.)

Face Mask Review!

Alright, so I finally tried out a face mask from Montagne Jeunesse. Frankly I'm shocked that I've never tried any of the their masks, they're so cheap and popular. I think its probably because I only ever see their chocolate face mask, and I'm partial to my Lush cupcake mask when it comes to chocolatey face goodness.

But anywhoo, I was walmart the the other day getting a Hard Candy fix and I saw their Dead Sea Mud Pack. It claims to use "Ultra deep cleansing dead sea minerals to penetrate skin and lift up impurities." Lets see how it fares!
The first thing I noticed upon opening is that it smells like mens aftershave! It doesn't bother me, and its not to strong, but you might wanna watch out if your sensitive to smells. It applies very smoothly, and is a lot creamy the the mud masks I'm used to. I also like the pouch design, it forces me to apply the mask as liberally as intended. (I tend to be a mask miser. ;D) Its very tingly, but not painful. Kind of like that minty tingle you get the first time you apply burts bee's lip balm. The tingly went away in the first few minutes, and though it did tighten as it dried it wasn't crazy joan rivers can't move your face tightening.

After I took it off I noticed two things very quickly:
1: My skin felt really smooth!
2: I was regretting that I didn't put on my normal pre-mask lip balm. My lips felt really dry around the edges. Nothing that a good lip balm couldn't fix though.

So final verdict is, pretty good. Not crazy amazing, but excellent for the price. I would not recommend this for anyone with dry and or sensitive skin, as I found it a little drying on my very oily skin.

This product was purchased by me, photo is my own.
