Pack With Me!

So I'm going away from the weekend to exotic Missouri, lol. I'm normally really bad about packing waaaayyyy more makeup then I need. But I've scaled back. and I thought I'd show you what I'm bringing!

So to start with I've got some eye essentials, my everyday mascara Maybelline Full n Soft, a mini Urban Decay Zero 24/7 eyeliner, a mini UD Peimer Potion, and my brow stuff.

Then for face products I'm bringing even less. A little sample tub of some MUFE HD foundation ( in either 110 or 115 can't remember!) and my Bobbi Brown Concealer in Porcelain Peach ( review soon!).

For eyeshadow I'm keeping it simple and just bringing my Tarina Tarantino Jewel Shadow Palette. The colors are so easy to blend and give me good options with out taking up too much space.

Just taking one blush! My favorite, MAC Ring of Saturn Mineralize Blush.

Three lip products, this is what's killing me- I'm such an addict! I'm taking my new sweetheart Korres Lip Butter in Plum, MAC Mocha Lipstick, and Burt's Bees ip balm. I might be bad and sneak an extra lipgloss in my pocket... And lastly my little sephora mirror!

I hope you liked this. I always love nosey stuff like this, so please tell me if you do too! Do you like traveling?

Jan MyGlam Bag

Hello hello! The weather outside is still frightful, and frankly depressing. But some new treats in the mail from ipsy made me smile.

Yay goodies!

So first off we have a fluffy eyeshadow brush from SOHO. Its called the Get a Grip Crease Brush. Its very soft and fluffy, albeit not as dense as I might like. I've used it for blending out edges and it works pretty well!

Next we have Josie Maran Argan Oil. I was super excited to get this because I;e been wanting to try argan oil for quite time now. They give you a nice sized vial with a squeeze dropper applicator. I'm not sure quite how mush is in here, but with the nature of this product it'll last quite awhile.

Then we have Nailtini Straight Up Color Nail Polish in Frappe. Members either got this shade, or a bright red. I think is okay. The color is pretty, its a rosy nude and fairly flattering on me. But its very sheer. I'm wearing right now with some chunky multi colored glitter (Spoiled Jewel Heist) and it looks nice. Wouldn't purchase more though.

After that we have Pacifica Tusan Blood Orange Body Butter. Ermahgerd. This stuff is so good! Its creamy, soothing, and the scent is great. Very bright and fresh, I'm a big fan. Its definitely inspired me to check out Pacifica's other stuff.

And last but not least Sexy Hair Spray and Play Volumizing Hair Spray. Haven't tested this too much yet but its a light hold hair spray. It has that 'hairspray' smell that I hate, but it goes away very fast so its fine. Great size for purses, or backpacks so definitely handy.

This is sooooo worth the price. Most these are already close to the price tag by themselves, and the nail polish actually goes over weirdly enoughSo first off we have a fluffy eyeshadow brush from SOHO. Pink Blossom Look!

Sooo.... I'm done with winter. It needs to end now. So I did this pinky look to cheer me up. Sorry I haven't posted in awhile, I hope you like this look!

After putting on bb cream I put primer all over my eyes. Then with a fluffy brush I put a pale shimmery pink all over my lid. Then I took a bright coral color and blended it in to my crease. To deepen the crease color just a little I added red to the outer corner and blended it in the coral. Then I made a thick line across my lid with gel liner and added a little wing. Then my upper waterline with black pencil. I thought it was a little top heavy, so I added a little light brown under my eyes. After that I filled in my brows and put on mascara.

I put a peachy cream highlighter, and then put on pink blush. I used quite a heavy hand with the blush and almost blended it to the edge of my eye makeup for a rosy almost doll like effect. Then to finish it off I applied a pink tinted lip balm.

Products Used:
Eyes: UD Primer Potion, Wet n Wild Color icon trio in Walking on Eggshells (light pink color), MAC Free to Be, Lime Crime Fly Dragon Fly (Chinadoll), Urban Decay Buck, MAC Blacktrack Fluidline, Urban Decay Perversion, Maybelline Lash Stiletto Mascara, MAC Brow GelCreme Fluidline, Nyx Brow Powder in Red.

Face: Holika Holika Petit Clearing BB Cream, Bobbi Brown Concealer in Porcelain Peach, MAC Cream Color Base in Hush, Tarina Tarantino Dollskin Blush in Parasol.

Lips: Avon Shine Attract Lipstick in Guava.

I really like this look, I feel like a pink macaroon! And I hope you liked it too, have a great day everyone! XOXO A.

Quick Look: Rainbow Liner!

So today I'm trying something new, I'm blogging from my phone. Lets see how this goes! In an effort to cheer myself up I did rainbow eyeliner the other day, and I thought I'd show y'all.

I applied primer and then dusted Urban Decay Foxy over my lid to make everything more even. Then on a slightly damp angled liner brush I took my first color and went about an eighth in. I continued to do this for the other five colors. I mostly used my Lime Crime Chinadoll Palette for this but I also used my Sleek Sunset and Original Palettes. (The purple and orange are sleek.) once I got to the purple in the corner I brought it under to the bottom lid and then smudged it out fading it to black. Then I liner my lower water line with NYX Jumbo eyeshadow pencil in milk. I have in Holika Holika Petit clearing bb cream and Tarina Tarantino Doll skin blush in Parasol. I have MAC Mocha lipstick and Smashbox Reflection High Shine Lipgloss in Candy.

Again I did this all on my phone so sorry if it turns out weird. I'll fix it once I'm home if it is!

Review: MAC Fluidline Brow Gelcreme

Hello lovelies, today I have a very new product to review and i'm really excited about it. So excited in fact that I couldn't wait for it to come to counters, so I bought it online. I'm referring to MAC Fluidline Brow Gelcreme in Redhead. Good brow products for redheads are surprisingly hard to find, as I've probably complained about a million times. So I was very happy when this came out with MAC's Stylish Brow collection. Lets see it shall we?

Finished Product!

It comes in the same little pots that normal Fluidlines come in however is not the same formula! I think thats very important to state. Its much stiffer and more waxy then traditional Fluidline. MAC describes this as a muted gold brown. I'm say thats a pretty good description, its very warm toned. I was actually a bit concerned that it'd be too yellow. Its actually a very good match for my shade of red, which a coppery ginger. But on more blue based- Ariel type reds I'd try this out at a counter before buying.

That being said, I'm pretty in love with this product. It gives a much more precise shape then my normal brow powder (which is great over this btw!) but it still looks natural. Even though this is LE I'm not too worried because a little goes a very long way with this. However I'd be very happy if MAC made this permanent.

$15 at MAC Online or in stores on the 10th. Hope this was helpful!

Review: Que Bella Deep Cleansing Aloe Vera Mask

Hey everyone! I hope you're having a good weekend. Today I'm reviewing a face mask from Que Bella. I noticed these in the natural beauty isle while I was at Target, they had three or four of the masks and then pouches of bubble bath.

I normally post a picture of the face mask on, but this one is actually clear so the pictures just looked weird. I suppose this makes sense because its aloe based. This one claims to 'cleanse ance prone skin, keeping it in check, and helping to nourish and rejuvenate." I thought this one would be perfect because now that its winter I still break out, but my skin gets much drier.

Its smells very strongly of lemon, and tree tree oil, which are also two of main ingredients. It wasn't strong enough to bother me, but if you're sensitive to scent it might. It comes out as a clearish gel/cream. And theres quite a lot in the package. Probably enough for two applications, but I used most of it.

Initially it was very very tingly. Almost to the point of being uncomfortable. After a minute or so the tingling stopped, but my face felt a bit tight. After the recommended 15 minutes, I washed off my face with warm water and a wash cloth. My skin did not feel moisturized, I had to add moisturizer after because my face definitely felt dry. The next day I really didn't see any improvement with my skin, so I'm not a huge fan. =( However, I will be checking out they're bubble bath!

(P.S: This mask isn't listed on their website... I find that weird.)

2012 Favorites!

Hello 2013! I'm very excited for the new year, and I'm dying to tell you guys all of my top favorites for this past year. Many of these you've probably heard me talk about, because they're the ones that have stuck with me all year. Many of them before I even started to blog. Lets get started!

1: Urban Decay's Smoked Palette. Love this to bits! I got it in September and I probably use it three times a week. My most used shades are Barlust and Mushroom, but I love them all!

2: theBalm Mary-Lou Manizer Luminizer I did a review of this here way back in August. Its still my favorite, definitely a HG product for me.
$24 www.thebalm.com

3: Cover Girl Lip Perfection Lipstick in Enthrall. LOVE this lipstick! I might cry if they discontinue it, no joke. Its the perfect natural red on me!
$4-7 Drugstores

4: Kat Von D Lock It Foundation. Alo reviewed this one. My favorite full coverage foundation, its fantastic.
$34 www.sephora.com

5: Lime Crime Chinadoll Palette. Such beautiful bright colors! And I can't count all the tutorials I've used this palette in. I can confidently say this is one of the best buys I've ever made, it really opened me up to a lot more bright looks.
$35 http://www.limecrimemakeup.com/

#6 Eye Lips Face Kabuki Brush. This brush is so dense and soft! Its like a kitten that applies powder to your face. I bought one to use for setting powder and liked it so much I bought a second for blush! Seriously they're so cheap, just go try one.
$6 http://www.eyeslipsface.com/

#7 Mac Blacktrack Fluidline. Smoothest, creamiest gel liner I've ever used! Big fan, not much more to say.
$15 http://www.maccosmetics.com/

#8 Holika Holika Petit Clearing BB Cream. My favorite BB cream, I can't say it helps acne but it doesn't break me out the way many BB creams do. I were this as my everyday foundation. I reviewed it  here.
$13 http://www.prettyandcute.com

#9 Maybelline Dream Bouncy Blush. I have three of these blushes and two of them are in heavy rotation for me. I love Plum Wine (Shown) and Pink Frosting which is a beautiful bright warm pink. The third I have is Candy Coral a coral-y orange. That one isn't nearly as pigmented, so I'd advise you to buy only the darker colors from this range.
$6 (Varies) Drugstores

#10 Nyx Brow Powder Cake in Red/Auburn. It is actually really hard to find brow products made for red heads! I refuse to use brunette shades! Don't tell me 'Oh its a red based brown' SA's I know better! Ranting aside, I really like this brow powder. And although the brush in the set is useless (shocker) the little spoolie that comes with is helpful.
$6 www.nyxcosmetics.com

#11 Sugarpill Goldilux Loose Eyeshadow. Holy pigmentation Batman! Possibly the goldest gold ever, especially when foiled. Its really really metallic when foiled, its pretty crazy.
$12 sugarpillshop.com

#12 theBalm Sexy Mama Pressed Powder. Adorable and useful? Sign me up! So far I've yet to find a product by theBalm that hasn't wowed me. I actually need to buy a new compact, I'm almost out.
$20 thebalm.com

#13 Thirteen is a bit out of place, sorry! But its Nyx Mega Shine Lipgloss. Super shiny, smooth, cheap lipgloss that comes in a billion colors. Smells like cherry tootsie pops, which is a bit distracting at first but not bad. Love.
$5.50 www.nyxcosmetics.com

But of course my ultimate 2012 favorite was starting this blog! Love you guys so much, and I really appreciate when you comment. Happy New Year guys. =)
